Its not as complicated as it looks. Probably the hardest thing for newbies is that it works better if you upload the the script in the readme file into the links folder on your website. If you dont have a links page on your site…then make one. This script tricks other sites into thinking they have a link on your website and then they are more likely to accept your link.
Start the program and it loads up the urls.
In the referring url box add your index url or the page you want visitors to go to (type in your url then click the add button).
The URL list also is important, because these are the URLs that your site(s) will be marketed to. By default this list contains a good chunk of generic internet URLs which have been supplied as a starter URL list. You can add other urls of sites to link to by searching the net. By manually adding URLs into urls.txt, or by using the automatic URL harvester feature which you can find under the URL Harvester tab. The URL harvester is easy to use, just enter the URL of a document or file containing a lot of URLs into the input box and then click the “Harvest URLs” button. Harvested URLs can equally easily be dismissed or imported (individually or collectively) into the main URL list so that PR Storm can use them. PR Storm will automatically save any such list changes you make upon exiting the program.
I always add some of my own site pages to the user agents !
The User-Agent tab is a list of of user-agents which PR Storm can use to make its request headers look more like random surfers than an internet bot, but you can also use this feature as an added edge to your marketing by using your URL(s) as User-Agents. By default this list is well stocked with real User-Agents taken from real statistics, so you don’t need to to anything here if you don’t want to.
You can use proxies if you like. I dont think it really matters. If you want total anonymity then use them.
Use the URL harvester to add urls to the main list (Url list is where you post to). I havent added any to it yet as there are already 122,000 links in there ! I suppose you could find more lurking about online if you look hard enough.
As for the settings, i wouldnt alter the hits per url, one is enough i think.
You could alter the number of threads if you want and increase the posting speed but i leave it alone. I run it overnight, so speed isnt really critical.
Thats about it.
As far as i can see most of the complaints about this program has because webmasters have complained about the lack of a link back to their site. So if you want to get the best out of this…upload the small script in the readme file.
As i have said, i’m no expert on this but it seems to work ok for me, I havent had any complaints oranything about using it or had any of my sites pulled. But to be safe test it out on some throw away one page blog first.
I used this on one of my niche sites for a subject (dont ask what cos you aint muscling in on htis small profitable niche lol) where there were only 14000 sites all fighting for the top slot. In only a week i went from nowhere to page 6 ! So it does work if you use it correctly.
